Community Priorities

Knocking on doors in 2022, Lakeside residents shared their priorities with me. Several important themes emerged:

  1. Increase Access to Family Doctors
  2. Enhanced Road Safety (traffic calming & speed enforcement)
  3. Reduce Community GHG Emissions
  4. Address Stormwater Issues in Reddendale
  5. Protect Lemoine Point Farm
  6. Improve Transportation Options (roads, sidewalks, parking lots, cycling paths, transit)
  7. Unlock Housing Units Across the Housing Continuum
  8. Job Growth to Keep Families in Kingston
  9. Improve Access to Lake Ontario
  10. Return Commercial Air Service to YGK Airport*
*alas, the airline wouldn’t give us planes, but we did secure luxury motorcoaches.
